Student Events: Guster with special guest for Fall Concert 2011

Guster will headline Student Events’ fall concert on Sept. 24, Director of Concerts Bryan Flatt ’12 announced today.
The band, started by three Tufts University students in 1991, is known for their alternative rock vibe and their live performances. With several Top 40 singles and music featured in television and movies, the band is a natural addition to the past few years of fall concerts, including OK Go, Ben Folds and others.
The announcement, made today in Shapiro Campus Center, was preceded by a countdown and snacks provided by Student Events to attract as many curious onlookers as possible.
“We wanted to bring an artist that would appeal to the majority of Brandeis students. While we considered many names, we kept coming back to Guster. Time and time again, they have proven that they have the ability to put on a great live show, and Student Events feels like the Brandeis campus deserves nothing less than phenomenal,” Flatt said.
Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 8 on Sept. 24 in Gosman. Brandeis student tickets are available for presale at the box office for $10 until Sept. 16. After that, student tickets will be $15 and all others will be $20.
