Golf 5th at UAA’s

The Brandeis golf season came to an end in New York, finishing in fifth place at the UAA Championships. The team shot 327 the first day and closed out with 323, giving them a score of 650. This score placed them 36 strokes behind fourth place Carnegie-Mellon and 58 strokes behind first place Rochester University.

Captain Josh Levine 06 led the way for Brandeis. He shoot 80 the first day and 75 the next, giving him 155 strokes and the overall ranking of 15th amongst the individuals. Jeff Stein 08 (83, 80) and Dan Shani '08 (79, 84) tied for 22nd with 163 strokes while Nick Wallen 09 and captain Nathan Goldman 06 finished 24th and 25th with 170 and 172 respectively.

Prior to the UAA Championship, Brandeis took fifth place at the Williams Spring Challenge in Williamstown, MA with a score of 324, forty strokes over par and thirteen behind first place Skidmore. Goldman tied for 11th place, shooting a 78, while Levine followed, tied for 15th with 79. Wallen shot an 81good for 23rdwhile Stein and Shani tied for 48th with 86.

At the Mass Intercollegiate Championships back on the 19th, Brandeis tied Amherst for thirteenth place, shooting a 336. Levine had the best individual score on the team, tying for 37th with an 81. Aaron Hattenbach 09 had the second lowest, shooting 85, which put him in a tie for 63rd, while Shani and Ralph Haray 09 shot 86 and 87 respectively.
