Ben Premos 09 exceptionally strong performance this past week did not go unnoticed as the University Athletic Association (UAA) named him Mens Soccers Offensive Player of the Week ending September 8th.

Bens a terrific athlete, assistant coach, Gabe Margolis said, he had a great second half against MIT when he got his hat trick. Not many players are capable of scoring a hat trick in one half, much less a whole game.

Premo was honored for his great individual effort against MIT back on October 4th. Down 0-3, Premo scored three unanswered goals in the second half to tie the game before teammate Mike Snyder 07 got the game-winner.

Coach Margolis explained what made Premo such a force for the Brandeis attack, His athleticism and his work, hes tirelessly working. Hell play the whole game, he never stops running and hes a tremendous athlete speed, he can jump through the roof. Everything you want in an athletic forward, hes got it.

Ive worked with a bunch of players and Ive very rarely worked with someone with just so much athletic ability as he has and is always in here working out;

loves the game, always trying to get better.

With a goal on October 10 against Newbury, Premo now has 10 goals and four assists for 22 points, all of which are team leaders. His 20 career goals and eight assists move Premo into 20th on the Brandeis Mens Soccer All-Time Leading Scorers List with only two points separating Premo from 18th ranked Michael Christy 97.

This is Premos third career UAA Athlete of the Week honor and his second of the season. The previous award came back on September 20 when he had seven points in two games.
