Jam Society Concert: Band Fest ‘08

Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Shapiro Lounge Massel

Enjoy the end of the week with a slice of pizza and some jams. The Jam Society is having a concert in the Shapiro Lounge in Massel Quad. They’ll have music, free pizza and the best bands on campus. Performers include, Hardcore Robbie, Doug Moore and many others.

Spingold: Laurie Theater

Considered one of Shakespeare’s mature comedies, this play includes all the classic elements such as disguise, love, political relations, exile, and most of what you would have from a Shakespeare play. Adrianne Krstansky directs. Plays until the 17th. This Friday and Saturday for $20.

Shapiro Campus Center Theater and Atrium

It’s the year of the Rat. The Brandeis Chinese Cultural Connection is celebrating the annual celebration of the Lunar New Year. It encompasses dance, legend, and modernity through an entire evening of free performances, followed by a Chinese-style night market. Performances include modern, traditional, and lion dance, as well as Chinese yo-yo, an educational play and a fashion show. Food will be a big theme at the night market, with a free dinner catered by Waltham’s Absolute Asia. Bubble tea will be sold by Boston Tea Stop, and delicious Asian pastries will also be on sale.
