Virgil’s 12-book, epic tale the Aeneid was the inspiration for Berlioz’s 5-act opera. The Boston Symphony Orchestra with James Levine conducting, tackle Berlioz’s masterpiece in two parts, “The Capture of Troy” and “The Trojans at Carthage.” The opera is sung in French with English supertitles. War, passion, heroes, destiny—this opera has it all.
