Letter to the Editor: Elementary school evacuated

To the editor:
Hi. I just read the article about the bomb threat and I am glad it brought up things that I had been wondering about. I am a CA who was told that everything was closed. I am also the GM of WBRS. I learned that people from the Campus Center had been kicked out, but when I called the station people were still there and they had no idea what was going on. When I sent a letter to the staff canceling shows for the day other students e-mailed me back not knowing of the lock down, that I had been informed about, and had just had dinner in Usdan.

I was disturbed by your report that the elementary school was evacuated and homes told to keep their doors shut when nothing of the sort was done for Brandeis students. I wouldnt have know that classes were canceled or of the lock down if I hadnt run into my Quad Director on my way to my evening class. I want to know why it took so long for information to get to the students, why it was inconsistent information and why the reverse phone voice mail system was not used.

Just wanted to say good job and please find out why there was such a discrepancy of information.
