    NHL tries to win back fans with rule changes

    Well folks, the lockouts over, the owners won but the game itself suffered a major defeat. Having been surpassed by NASCAR and the MLS gaining popularity, the NHL has its work cut out to regain public attention. They wont get that help from ESPN;

    theyll be relying on the Outdoor Life Network (OLN). Maybe theyll trot out Lance Armstrong on skates to boost ratings if desperation calls.

    Women's VBall hang tough, still lose

    Growing pains are very difficult to deal with. That is what the Brandeis womens volleyball team learned last night when they were swept by MIT 20-30, 23-30, 26-30. This is their third straight loss, dropping the Judges to 2-3.

    Judges hold serve at home, win

    One week ago, the Judges lost a tough match to Emmanuel after taking the first two games. This time around, Brandeis made sure there were no such comebacks.

    NFL week two recap: Pats, Falcons lose

    This week was full of only two types of games: closely contested battles and a few high-scoring blow-outs. The New England Patriots suffered their first loss of the season to the Carolina Panthers in one of those close games, only their third in their last 36 games. New England started off strong with a nice drive down the field ending with a Tom Brady touchdown, but things went downhill from there as the Panthers came back with the help of running back Stephen Davis who managed three touchdowns on the ground to lead the Panthers to a 27-17 victory. The Patriots wont have time to lick their wounds, as they go on to face the intimidating and, recently, rival Pittsburgh Steelers.

    Tough loss for WVBall

    This is a game the entire Judges volleyball team would love to take back. After starting the match strong with two straight wins (30-15, 30-27), they dropped the last three (22-30, 28-30, 10-15), ending with a heartbreaker in the fifth game. Oh my god, I have no idea what to say. Violette Ruggiero 09 said No questions about it, we should have won the game.
