New Vice President of Budget and Planning announced

Peter French, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, announced on Tuesday that Francis A. Drolette has been hired as the Vice President for Budget and Planning. As the Universitys primary budget officer, French wrote, the Vice President for Budget and Planning coordinates the preparation, implementation and analysis of the Universitys annual operating budget of over $200 million and the annual capital budget of $40 million.


Union presents shuttle proposal

A proposal for a new shuttle to the Green Line is being presented to Public Safety this week, Student Union sources said Wednesday.


Panel cites changing immigration ideas

A discussion panel entitled Uncovering the Myths of US Immigration was held Wednesday night in the Shapiro Campus Center Atrium. The panelists were Ali Noorani, Nadia Kim, Lucia Reyes de Deu and Alejandra Pineros-Shields.


Golf swings its way to 4th Place at Chicopee

Brandeis golf rebounded well at the Elms College Invitational at Chicopee, finishing 4th out of 11 teams with a score of 319.


Hoot picks NFL winners

Three weeks into the 2006 season and already some things are clear: Oakland, Houston, and Tennessee are dead in the water, Carolina and Washington have no offense without Steve Smith and Clinton Portis respectively and the Jacksonville Jaguars are for real.

WSoccer wins 3 in a row

The Brandeis womens soccer team was able to pull out a victory against Wellesley College in Wellesley on Tuesday (Sept. 19) afternoon thanks to a big goal in the 80th minute by Sarah Jasak 08 to give Brandeis the 2-1 victory.


Judges Soccer ties Wheaton 2-2 after great struggle

They play hard, they play with heart, yet at times it hasnt been enough to grab the win. Facing one of their toughest matches of the season against Wheaton College, the Brandeis Judges came back Wednesday night to avoid the loss, walking away with a 2-2 tie.


Volleyball makes comeback

It was a game the Brandeis volleyball team would not be proud of. They were backed against the wall by an arguably inferior opponent, yet in the end Brandeis managed to triumph, coming back from an 0-2 deficit to defeat Eastern Nazarene 3-2.
